Abstract Art can be like a Porthole
Art can be an inspirational force. You can get lost in a piece for ages. It can make you daydream for a few minutes and take you away from the real world to escape from your day to day routine.
I like to view my art as if your looking through a porthole out into a fantasy world. I work by adding layers, colours and textures to give the illusion of depth. Sometimes you feel like you can dive right into a painting.
Abstract Art dosen’t attempt to represent an actual visual reality but it takes your mind to other places. Just like music, poetry and books, Abstract Art tells a story. Its eye-catching in the way that you can’t but help have a glance every time you walk past it and for that brief second, escape.
This particular painting was one of five commissioned paintings used for Murry’s Timber Group new head quarters. Beautifully designed by Interior Designer Orla Tighe who runs her own Interior Design business Brown House Interiors.
